Hi, my name is Minqi Xia. I was born in Wuxi, Jiangsu at 1999. At present I'm majoring Computational Chemistry in Nanjing University. I love coding, sports and reading. Nice to meet you :-)    

Research  Interests

  • Constant Potential Method in Electrocatalysis 
    Constant potential method (CPM) has becoming an essential approach to investigate interface electrochemical processes as it better describes the solvation & electrode potential effect in reaction. We developed CPM code based on DMol3 package and applied it to the rational design of HER/CO2RR catalysts. In the future, we will extend the functionality of the program to support the DFT-D3 correction and CI-NEB algorithm using ASE package.
  • Mass/Electron Transport in Micropores
    The hierarchical porous structure is one of the most prominent features of carbon nanocages(CNC). On the CNC surface, micropores with diameters of 6Å are widely distributed , providing numerous loading sites and serving as channels for mass/charge transport during reactions. To get an insight into the regulation of CNC, molecular dynamics (MD) are used to study the process of pore formation and transport mechanism respectively.

Nanjing University

I came to Nanjing University (NJU) at 2017 and majored Chemistry in my undergraduate studies. During this period, I was much honored to be selected as a member of Chemistry Talent Training Program, which is jointly supported by School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and Kuang Yaming Honors School. 

After that, I started my graduate studies under the guidance of Prof. Lijun Yang at Key Laboratory of Microscopic Chemistry, MOE. Now I'm conducting research on constant potential method and molecular dynamics. The atmosphere is pleasant here and I really enjoy it!

Tianyi High School

In 2011, I was admitted to Tianyi High School, the campus where my dream sets sail. I completed my middle and high school studies here in 2017. 

Tianyi locates at the scenic canal town, Wuxi. The school believes that every student is a gold mine. Therefore, my potential was greatly inspired with the help of our teachers, and qualities like innovation and persistence are gradually cultivated.

There has been 6 years since I left Tianyi. I really appreciate the meaningful time I spent there, which left me with precious memories about youth.
